A novel preparation of robotic-dispensed bioactive nanocomposite scaffolds made of nanobioactive glass (NBG) with chitosan biopolymer is reported. The NBG was added to chitosan and then robocast into macrochanneled scaffolds. During the preparation, microporous structure was also developed within the scaffolds. In vitro bioactive test confirmed the excellent bioactivity, and the degradation of the scaffolds was mild over a month. Osteoblastic cells were presented to have good viability on the scaffolds and spreading behaviors.
