Calcium hydroxide has widely used as pulp capping materials. But they reported that show the toxic effect to bacteria and mammalian cells. To elucidate the effect of the calcium hydroxide, we tested the DPSC proliferation rate using the MTT assay and observed the nucleus stained cells. Pulp capping materials containing calcium hydroxide showed the cytotoxic effects, but there were no apoptotic cells.
