We can obtain the special event related brain potential; EFRP (Eye Fixation Related Potential) with averaging EEGs at offset of saccades. EFRP varies with cognitive factors, e.g. perception and attention. When eyes stop at special objects during a visual search task, the special event would occur in the brain. We developed a system to measure EFRP at different eye positions. The system consists of a EyeLinkll to detect eye positions, EEG amplifiers, a scene camera and a computer with a large memory. Data on eye positions, eye movements, and a scene are synchronized with those of brain potentials. After recording, brain potentials are analyzed at every different eye position. We can obtain the EFRP associated with special objects. The system will be applicable to assessment of cognition and affection at clinical and industrial situations.
