The structures of biliary metabolites of orally administered hesperetin in rats were investigated. Four isolated metabolites were identified as hesperetin 3'-O-β-D-glucuronide (1), hesperetin 7-O-β-D-glucuronide (2), hesperetin 7-O-sulfate-3'-O-β-D-glucuronide (3) and hesperetin 7,3'- di-O-sulfate (4) on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidences.
