The constituents of Nauclea racemosa SIEB. et Zucc. (Rubiaceae) were examined and three known glucosides, namely benzoyl glucoside, loganin and noreugenin-7-O-β-_D-glucoside, were isolated. Noreugenin-7-O-β-_D-glucoside was synthesized by condensation of noreugenin (2-methyl-5,7-dihydro xychromone) with acetobromoglucose followed by Zemplen deacetylation.
