A New Ceramide from Two Edible Mushrooms, Grifola frondosa and Lyophyllum connatum

A new ceramide, (2S,3S,4R)-2-[(9'Z,12'Z)-9',12'-octadecadienoylamino]-1,3,4-octadecanetriol (1) was isolated from the fruit bodies of the edible mushroom, Grifola froncbsa together with two known ceramides. Compound 1 was also isolated from the fruit bodies of the edible mushroom, Lyophyllum connatum. The structure of the new compound was elucidated on the basis of spectral data.
