Fundamental Study on Quasi MIMO Radar System using ESPAR Antenna

Recently, MIMO radar has been attracting attention as a next generation radar system for improving detection accuracy and performance of targets. However, complexity of the system in increased in transmission array size and its circuit. In this paper, we propose a quasi MIMO radar system or slow-time MIMO radar system using an ESPAR antenna as a transmitter. The system is operated by switched beam patterns of the ESPAR antenna with repeated transmission signals. In this report, availability of the proposed system is examined by computer simulations.
