This study presents unsteady fluctuations of rotating stall flow and blade-to-blade flow at an impeller exit of a centrifugal compressor. The measured signals from a hot wire anemometer are analyzed using double phase-locked ensemble averaging techniques. As results, the distributions of radial and tangential components of velocity from the suction side to the pressure side of the impeller blade passage are shown during one stall period, and the flow characteristics are also discussed. The fluctuation of the radial velocity component is larger than that of the tangential component and it is mainly initiated by the flow at the pressure side.
