• The necessity of proper nurturing and empowerment of youth is clearly unquestionable in the recent world with the intensification of global problems such as poverty, conflicts between nations and ideologies and environmental catastrophes. Youth, of course, should be one of the main actors to develop society. However, they sometimes become the ringleaders who cause and expand various problems to make their society unstable especially in the areas of post-conflict, severe poverty and high unemployment rates among others. This research is aiming at the verification of the examples of youth educational programs which actually operated in the project sites. In Chapter 1, I define the word "Youth" and "Youth Education" in this research firstly, and then verify the characteristics and backgrounds of some youth problems especially focusing on the "Youth at risk". In Chapter 2, I chose "Sports" as one of the effective educational tools for youth and seek for some special properties to contribute to the improvement of communication skills at different levels. In Chapter 3, I adopt a case example of "Youth Education through Sports in Bosnia-Herzegovina" based on the result of the investigation executed in 2004. The necessity of youth education should be more fully recognized in the light of the fact that some organizations, especially UN related, have started to expand youth education. Along with such cultural factors as music, art and drama, the importance of sports as an educational tool should be examined.
