Atmospheric transmittance at a submillimeter wavelength is investigated from meteorological data. The astronomical observations are possible in a period from January to March for each year in Sendai, and 22 days (24% in the period) are in good conditions. The good transmittance frequently occurs in the conditions of a low temperature, a low vapor pressure, and a strong wind on the surface of the earth.Atmospheric transmittancesubmillimeter wavelengthwater vapor
