A system for video retrieval using data from a ubiquitous environment is presented. Unsupervised data mining techniques have been used to analyse floor sensor data to summarize actions. An algorithm based on Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering has been used to segment out footpaths of individual persons. Video handover is proposed and two methods are implemented to retrieve video showing a person moving around in the house, and we compare the results subjectively. Key frames and video clips can be retrieved interactively using these results. We conclude with suggestions for improvements, and possible future directions.
