In 1983, the auther got the opportunity to investigate an astronomical clock in Old Paris Observatory. The clock which was made by a clock maker Pierre FARDOIL (Paris, -1722) had so unusual dial for the temporal hour as European clocks. This dial was closely similar to the "WARI-KOMA" style dial which was known as original in Japanese clocks, and the dial was automatized ingeniously. The fact shows that the possibility for the Japanese "WARI-KOMA" style dial to be originated in Europe can not be denied. The existence of the astronomical clock with a such kind of dial would be very much important in the historical research about Japanese clocks, because positioning of them in the history would be attained only after comparing the details of mechanisms of east and west for temporal hour dials.
