NMR Spectra and Relaxation in Ferromagnetic Quasicrystalline Alloys

^<27>Al-, ^<55>Mn, ^<11>B- NMR spectra under an external magnetic field and spin-lattice relaxation time, T_1, of quasicrystalline Al-Pd-Mn-B alloys with a new strong magnetism are reported. These spectra indicate the evidence that there exist Mn atoms with no internal magnetic field and Al and B atoms with no transferred hyperfine field in these ferromagnetic icosahedral quasicrystals. The Knight shift values of each nucleus and the T_1 of ^<27>Al reflect the effect of coexistance of ferromagnetic Mn atoms as reported in previous papers. It is concluded from microscopic points of view that the icosahedral phase of this alloy system make up of a heterogeneous atom distribution of coexisting ferromagnetic and nonmagnetic Mn atoms.nuclear magnetic resonanceferromagnetismquasicrystalknight shiftspin-lattice relaxation time
