The ^<57>Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy of Fe-B amorphous alloys containing 12〜25at%. B revealed the characteristic concentration dependence of the internal field distribution, which was interpreted by the interactions between iron and boron atoms in different ways depending on the boron content and the microstructure of amorphous matrix. The alloys with the boron concentrations below 20at% exhibited well developed short range orders regarded as those found in crystalline solution, and the Mossbauer patterns were successfully analyzed by assuming the b. c. c. like near neighbour configurations. On the other hand, a chemical order with Fe_3B type was observed in Fe-25at%B alloy and slowly quenched Fe-12 and 13at%B alloys. It is concluded that the quenching rate controlls the short range atomic configurations in amorphous Fe-B alloys.
