In the present investigation the experimental results given by several workers concerning the soft X-rays and the secondary electrons from copper were closely discussed and the correct values of their critical potentials were determined. These values were reviewed from the author's conception reported previously and were explained as being the dissociation potentials of the chained molecules of copper into atoms, without or with accompanying ionization.
