Today, a personal computer system and an Internet technology are remarkably progressed. These systems can represent content rich information that gives many benefits to our life. However, such larger scale information content becomes complicated and the difficulty of the user's understanding is raised. We focus on this problem. Our main objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of the representation methodology and to consider the relationship between the information representation and the user's understanding level. This paper describes a first trial of this evaluation. In this evaluation, we compared the 2D and the 3D image representation methodology. We conducted a psychological subjective assessment by using a computer aided instruction system. This computer aided instruction system shows a shape of the building block in either 2D or 3D image representation to the subject. In the assessment, we observed and measured the building block task for the subjects. Major points of the evaluation are analyzing the task score, observing the characteristics of the subjects' behavior from the score and considering the difference between the 2D and the 3D representation.
