This is the seventh part of the series of the revisional study concerning the genus Plesiophthalmus and its allied genera. The species-groups of the genus Plesiophthalmus dealt with here are the pallidicrus group (Plesiophthalmus pallidicrus FAIRMAIRE, P. cruralis FAIRMAIRE, P. bourcieri (PIC), comb. nov., P. kaszabi sp. nov., P. kulzeri sp. nov., P. blairi sp. nov.), the brevipennis group (P. brevipennis LEWIS, P. caeruleus PIC, P. aurichalceus M. T. CHUJO, stat. nov., P. piceus M. T. CHUJO, P. nakamurai MASUMOTO), and the pernitidus group (P. pernitidus FAIRMAIRE, comb. nov., P. grandis (FAIRMAIRE), comb. nov.). Plesiophthamus bicoloripes PIC and P. rufescens PIC are newly treated as synonyms of P. pallidicrus FAIRMAIRE and P. bourcieri (PIC), comb. nov., respectively. Besides, P. makiharai M. T. CHUJO falls into a subspecies of P. brevipennis LEWIS. Keys to the species of each species-group are also given.
