The phase digram was determined for the entire composition range of the system Pb(Yb_<1/2>Nb_<1/2>)O_3-PbZrO_3. Despite the fact that both end members Pb(Yb_<1/2>Nb_<1/2>)O_3 and PbZrO_3 are antiferroelectric, a ferroelectric phase appeared for a narrow composition range, and its nature was briefly discussed. The phase diagram was found to consist of the three phases, paraelectric (PE) cubic, ferroelectric (FE) tetragonal and antiferroelectric (AFE) orthorhombic. An insoluble region was also found to exist.
