Effect of Pressure on Superconducting Transition Temperature of Bi-Ca-Sr-Cu-O : Electrical Properties of Condensed Matter

We have determined the pressure dependence of the superconducting transition temperatures, T_c's of multiphase Bi_1Ca_1Sr_1Cu_2O_x under hydrostatic pressure up to about 30 kbar. The observed pressure dependence of T_c, that both the upper and lower T_c's increase linearly with pressure, is compared to those of other high-T_c oxide compounds (La, M)_2 CuO_<4-y> (M=Sr and Ba) and YBa_2Cu_3O_<7-y>.
