Thermally stimulated currents (TSC) in polytetrafluoroethylene in the neighborhood of room-temperature transitions were measured. Information on the TSC peaks arising from room-temperature transitions can be summarized as follows. The depolarization current did not contribute to the TSC peaks arising from room-temperature transitions. TSC peaks due to the temperature variation of the dielectric constant arising from room-temperature transitions were found under a bias electric field, and the temperature dependence of the dielectric constant was evaluated from the TSC. A pyroelectric current peak which was reversible for the temperature variation arising from the room-temperature transition was found.
