A binary crystallizable glass composite containing cordierite glass and anorthite glass for applications in the area of low-dielectric multilayer ceramic packaging has been investigated. The initially amorphous glass composite forms crystalline phases of anorthite and cordierite during firing, and can be densified up to a relative sintered density greater than 97% at 875℃ for 15-60 min. The resultant composites have a dielectric constant in the range of 4.7-5.3 at 1 MHz and a linear thermal expansion coefficient of 3.7-5.1 × 10^<-6> K^<-1> in the temperature range of 20-200℃.
