Accurate Wavelength Measurement of the Intercombination Line of Calcium

We have measured the wavelength of the intercombination line ^3P_1-^1S_0 of ^<40>Ca. The wavelength of a dye laser, stabilized to the intercombination line ^3P_1-^1S_0 of ^<40>Ca, was compared with the wavelength of an I_2-stabilized He-Ne laser by means of a newly developed wavemeter. The estimated uncertainty of the measured wavelength ratio is 7×10^<-11>(3σ) and the measured wavelength agrees with the previous results within the uncertainty of the I_2-stabilized He-Ne laser.
