We have reduced the intensity fluctuation of a laser-diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser to the shot-noise level by controllingthe diode current. The obtained relative-intensity noise is less than 10^<-7> in Hz^<-1/2> within the 100 Hz to 10 kHz range.
