The exact theory of partially coherent wave propagetion from a non-singular curved boundary surface is developed by solving the boundary value problem for the wave exuation satisfied by the mutual coherence function. Various cases are considered to obtain regorous or approximate formulas for the mutual coherence functions some of which have already been derived by the Rayleigh or Fresnel diffraction formula. A generalized van Cittert-Zernike theorem for the light emitted from a source with the curved surface is also obtained.
