Transmitted intensities of electrons I_B and I_N were measured at exact Bragg position and at non-Bragg position, respectively. The ratio I_B/I_N increased with the thickness at first, had a maximum value (about four) and then decreased with the thickness and approached unity. No anomalous transmission effect was observed for molybdenite films thicker than about 3 μm at 200 kV and 5 μm at 500 kV. This is against the two-beam dynamical theory, where the ratio increases with thicknesses monotonically. The experimental result was analyzed taking into consideration the contribution of electrons which shows no diffraction contrast.
