DCA synergistically promoted G.A-induced hook elongation in dccotylized Alaska pea seedlings in the presence of sucrose, but not in intact seedlings. Cotyledon excision caused a decrease in the amount of DCA-like substance(s) in the hooks of pea seedlings.
