A new stilbenc, 4-[(2"E)-7"-hydroxy-3", 7"-dimcthyloct-2"-enyll-2', 3, 4', 5-tetrahydroxy-trans-stilbene (1), and the known compound chlorophorin (2) were isolated from the heartwood of Chlorophora excelsa. Both 1 and 2 showed tyrosinase inhibitory activity with IC_50 values of 96 and 1.3μM, respectively.
