A 34-year-old male with neuro-Behcet's disease, manifesting numbness and spasticity in his left lower extremity, was treated using lymphocytapheresis (LCP) with a lymphocyte removal filter. Treatment was successful and the effect of serial lymphocytaphereses (LCPs) lastcd longer than that of single LCP. LCP was performed eight times, resulting in an increase of the serum CD4/CD8 ratio five times and a decrease three times. Interleukin-2 production decreased five times, increased slightly twice and was not determined after one procedure. Brain magnetic resonance imaging revealed improvement of abnormal findings after serial LCPs. These results indicate that lymphocytapheresis, especially when performed seriaily, can be a treatment of choice for neuro-Behcet's disease.
