• Sampling inspection plan that is an important subject in statistical quality control is prescribed by following four factors : p_0 : fraction defective corresponding to a satisfactory level p_1 : fraction defective corresponding to an unsatisfactory level α : producer's risk β : consumer's risk The definition of these values should be taken various factors into consideration, e.g. technological requirements to the product depending on its use and economical consideration about production and inspection costs and price for the products and so on. So, it has been difficult for producer and consumer to uniquely specify these four factors. Practically, these four factors, especially p_0 and p_1,are determined through the careful negotiations between producer and consumer with trial and error. In this paper, the authors formulate the sampling plans that allow them to decide these four values in the vague form "about 〜" with applying fuzzy theory to this problem, and explicate the procedure for design of the sampling inspection plans.
