The specific activities of Cephalosporium sp. alkaline proteinase on some typical synthetic peptides were measured quantitatively and compared with those of chymotrypsin and trypsin. The result suggested that the Cephalosporium sp. alkaline proteinase was more similar to trypsin than to chymotrypsin. The hydrolytic course of intersection for casein indicated that the Cephalosporium sp. alkaline proteinase had broader specificity than trypsin or chymotrypsin.
