The influence of the aqueous medium pH on the growth of Candida guilliermondii in media containing diesel oil as the main carbon source was studied. The maximum values of the specific growth rate and productivity were obtained at pH 6.0 and 7.0 respectively. A linear correlation between the final cell concentration and the average rate of NaOH addition was observed.
