C106 AWIDE BAND MODEL FOR THE PURE ROTATION BAND OF WATER VAPOR BASED ON THE HITEMP DATABASE(Radiation)

A new wide band model for the pure rotation band of water vapor is developed based on a high-resolution database of absorption lines known under the acronym of HITEMP to describe a remarkable temperature-dependent shift of the band center and a temperature dependence of the band absorptance, which are not described well by the existing wide band models. Also the dependence of band absorptance on the partial pressure of water vapor and on the total pressure is modeled so that this model is useful for radiative heat transfer calculations in practical equipment.
