A203 Measurements of Two-dimensional Temperature, OH Concentration and Velocity in Diffusion Flames Interacted with Large Scale Vortices(Laminar flame-1)

H_2/N_2-Air diffusion flame interacted with large scale vortices induced by acoustic excitation is investigated by two dimensional measurements of temperature, OH concentration and velocity. Temperature is detected by laser Rayleigh scattering method, OH concentration by LIF. Velocity vector is measured by PIV. The measurements revealed that the temperature and the OH concentration at the reaction zone become significantly lowered at the convex and circumferential part of the vortex where the thinning of the OH and high temperature layer of the reaction zone occur. The local flame extinction is supposed to be induced by this mechanism.
