This paper deals with the self-excited vibrations of a Mindlin circular plate subjected to comparatively weak frictional forces as a function of relative slip velocity at two points on its outer circumference in the same manner as in the previous report. However the effect of internal resonance is considered here. It is found by the averaging method that an internal resonance occurs in which the mode of lower order is dominant, and that there exist tow types of stable steady-state solutions of the internal resonance with different spatial locations with respect to the two frictional points. Furthermore, this paper also presents a relationship between the generating modes and the angle between the two points, and a relationship between the magnitude of frictional forces and the generating modes. A fine qualitative agreement between experimental and analytical results has been confirmed.
