Development of the portable non-contact measurement system of blade vibration using the improved few-probe method

The non-contact measurement methods of the rotating blade vibration are classified into two types by the form of data processing : the multiple-probe method and the few probe method. Because the conventional few-probe method cannot detect the blade frequency, the improved few-probe method that can detect the amplitude, the frequency and the circumferential mode as accurately as the multiple-probe method is proposed. The portable non-contact measurement system utilizing the improved few-probe method is also developed and its validity is verified, carrying out the measurement of the blade vibration of the actual engines.
