Primary Malignant Lymphoma of the Central Nervous System : Report of Four Long-term Survivors

1977年から1993年までに組織診断しえた47例の脳原発性non-Hodgkinリンパ腫(B細胞性)のうち、5年以上の長期にわたり質の高いQOL(Quallty of life)を維持できた4例(8.5%)を報告した。3例は9年から12.5年間disease-free(完全寛解)であり、残りの1例は5年間の完全寛解後腫瘍再発で死亡した。全例放射線療法(50-60Gyの局所照射, 30-40Gyの全脳照射)ののち、標準的な化学療法(cyclophosphamide, vincristine, adriamycin, prednisolone)を4-8週毎に4-6クール施行した。4例の長期生存例から明らかな予後因子を見い出しえなかったが、照射後早期から治療への反応がみられた。長期生存例における完全寛解期での管理について考察を加えた。
