CLINICAL USEFULNESS OF SIALYL SSEA-1 ANTIGEN AS TUMOR MARKER FOR OVARIAN CANCER AS COMPARED WITH CA125, CA19-9, TPA, IAP, CEA AND FERRITIN

卵巣癌におけるsialyl SSEA-1の腫瘍マーカーとしての臨床的有用性について, CA125, CA19-9, TPA, IAP, CEA, Ferritinなどと比較検討し, 加えて, sialyl SSEA-1の卵巣癌組織における局在性についても免疫組織化学的に検索した。卵巣癌に対するSensitivityはsialyl SSEA-1 54.9%, CA125 90.2%, CA19-9 48.8%, TPA 78.0%, IAP 73.1%, CEA 17.1%, Ferritin 63.4%であり, Specificityは, sialyl SSEA-1 94.3%, CA125 79.6%, CA19-9 89.5%, TPA 81.2%, IAP 83.4%, CEA 93.4%, Ferritin 87.3%であった。卵巣癌においてsialyl SSEA-1は臨床病期の進行とともに陽性率が高くなり, II期以上において半数以上が陽性となったが, 組織型別に特異性はなかった。また, 経時的に追跡すると治療に伴う病巣の消長をよく反映して推移した。免疫組織化学的に卵巣癌30例中10例の組織中にsialyl SSEA-1の局在を認めたが, 血中値との相関性は明らかではなかった。以上より, sialyl SSEA-1は卵巣癌の腫瘍マーカーとして有用であり, CA125, CA19-9, TPA, Ferritin, IAPなどと同時測定することによりさらに有用性を高めるものと期待される。
