The VCl0CIt1CS and the attenuatmon Of S0UI1d III till-bISI11Uth alloys 0ftW0 diffCtCntchemical CO[T1P0Siti00S, Bi/(Bi-F-SIN)=57.0WtZ (eutectic) and 66.7wt% (hyper-eutectic), have been measured bv the rulse transmission method at temperaturesbelow and above the melting point. The frequency of the ultrasonic wave wasl MHz. The compressional and shear wave velocities in the eutectic alloy justbelow the melting point (139') were 2507 mis and 1130 mis, respectively, and thecompressional wave velocity in liquid just above the melting point were 2040 mis.By combining the present experimental data with the density and thermal expan-sivity data of the alloys, the elastic and the anelastic properties of tin-bismuthalloys near the melting temperature were derived, and some discussions were madeon the obtained results.
