The time interval of' strccessive water-drips f'ror?n a faucet was examined over a wide range ofthe flow rate. The dripping interval ?t]ternately exhibits 21 stable state and a chaotic state asthe flow rate increases. In the stable state. the voltrme of the drip is kept constant at fixed flowr?xtes. and the const?tnt voltrtne incre?tses with the floxv rate. In the chaotic state. in addition toa naechataics that the drip is torn by its OXVII weight, the vibration of the drip on t'he fatrcet takespart in the strange behavior of the interxzal.
