On the Fourfold Symmetry of H_<c2> and Magnetization of D_<x^2-y^2> -Wave Supercondustors for the in-Plane Magnetic Fields

For the d.c .2 sttpercondtrctors, we investigate the f'otrrf'old syunmetry of the ttpper criticalfields and naagnetization related to the torqtre trnder the parallel magnetic field to the ab planeof the crystal. We take into accotrnt the s-wax'e order parauneter indttced frouta the spatialvariation of' the d.x .x-xvave order p?xr?'tuaueter. In addition, we investigs'tte the effects of theshape of the Fernai strrface. If the pairing inter?rction f'or the .5-NV2'tV(2 channel is attractive, the.s-wave cotaaponent can enhance the above fotrrfold synarnetry. Depending on the strtrcttrre ofthe Ferrni strrface, the fourfold syuntaaetric arnisotropy in the a.b plane enhances or suppresses thefotrrfold symmetric behavior. There is also the case where the f'ourfold symrnetric anisotropy of'in the a.b plane changes the sign of' the ['otrrf'old sytnraaetric behavior frotn that of the isotropicc as e .
