Magnetoresistance was investigated in Fe/FeSi/Fe sandwiches with metallic bcc- and semi-condtrctor like FeSi spacers prepared by an ultrahigh-vactrtrna magnetron sputterung system, enhanced with indtrctively cotrpled RF Pl2LSlTl2L. In the easy axis direction, IVIR curves at 298 Khave a dip around the zero unagnetic field for both Fe/FeSi/Fe sandwiches with semuconductorlike FeSi and bcc rnetallic FeSi spacers. On the other hand, IVIR curves at 10 K exhibit a dip andno anomaly arotrnd the zero magnetic field for the Fe/ bcc unetallic FeSi/Fe and Fe/setniconductorlike FeSi/Fe sandwiches, respectively. When the contribution of biqtradratic coupling to interlayer exchange coupling is considered, these MR behaviors are well explained. These resultssupport the interlayer exchange cotrpling naodel attribtrted to the biquadratic exchange couplingwhich otrtweighs the colinear terna at a low tetaaperatture in Fe/FeSi multilayers.
