Based on the dislocation model developed in Part I, melting characteristics arecalculated for a face centered cubic crystal, in which atoms interact with theinverse 4th, 6th, 9th and 12th power potentialjs. The results are shown to be ingood agreement with those of computer simulation and of statistical mechanicalcalculations. It is also found that a body centered cubic crystal has quite similarmelting characteristics as those of fcc crystal.
