The Gibbs-Thomson eqtration thermodynamically describes the melting point depression dtueto the curvature of the interface. Ustmally this equation is expressed as a lst-order expansion withrespect to the curvature. We carry out the expansion Lip to 2nd-order and apply it to calculatethe melting point depression of an ice crystallite in water.
