Theory of the Spin-Wave Mediated High-T_c Superconductivity

A model of the high-I. oxide superconductor based on the antiferromagnetic spinwave exchange is investigated. It is assumed that the holes, which are the superconduc-tive carriers, are mainly doped into the p, orbital of the 0 atoms on the Cu0 plane.Cu spins are assumed to be localized and to be irt the almost antiferromagnetic state.In this case, the 0 holes can form Copper pairs exchanging the spin wave of the Cuspin system. The transition temperature is calculated taking into account the lifetimeof the spin wave and the retardation effect. The carrier density dependence of the Iran-sition temperature is discussed. The structure of the energy gap and the real spacepair-wave function is presented. The Cooper pair is shown to have d-like symmetry.
