The ground state of a Quantum Lattice Model (QLM) in which all atoms are quanturn-mechanically migrating from site to site on the lattice points is given in thecrudest approximation. From the QLM the energy spectrum of roton-like excitationis derived on the basis of a simple picture, where the roton excitation is regarded asthe motion of an atom which does not undergo the quantum migration. According toMatsuda and Matsubara, by setting two parameters, the effective mass of QLMm=(1 / 7)m. (m. is the mass of 'He atom), and the lattice spacing #=3.1 A, the density dependence of ,l and m' in roton spectrum are calculated. The obtained resultsare somewhat higher than the experiments. However the tendencies of densitydependence of these parameters are in an excellent agreement with the experiments.
