The solution of the Ornstein-Zernike equation is investigated in the modified meanspherical approximation for a binary system consisting of eqttal-size hard spheres in-teracting with each other via a pairwise tail potential such as a,a,cp(r), with a,a, andpar) being the coupling strength between i- and 7-species of hard spheres and an ar-bitrary potential function, respectively. For the Bhatia-Thornton partial structure fac-tors S..(q), S..(q) and S..(q), this solution procluces a relationship like [5.. -S.1[S.. -c,c.3=S4., where S.(q) equals S..(q) at a.=a.=O and c,is the concentration. It is also shown that this relationship is in reasonably good agreement with the ex-perimental results on thermodynamic properties of liquid Li-Pb alloy.
