For the understanding of the temperature dependence of the static structure factorof liquid Li.Pb, the two-component system consisting of charged hard spheres withscreened Coulomb interaction in a uniform neutralizing background charge is in-vestigated in terms of the modified mean spherical approximation. It is found that inrespect to the structure reflecting the chemical short range order the calculated temperature-dependence agrees reasonably well with the measured one. This result suggeststhat the effect of the background charge plays an essential role in the temperaturevariation of the static structure of liquid Li.Pb.
