Dynamical behaviors for sine-Gordon soliton pinned to the impurity are studiednumerically by solving a set of ordinary differential equations which are derived fromthe sine-Gordon equation under the external periodic field with perturbation theory.Chaotic motion occurs through the sequence of period-doubling bifurcation. As theamplitude of the external force further increases, a crisis occurs and the intensity ofthe chaotic motion increases. Furthermore for larger external fields the soliton isdispinned and begins to propagate.
