The superconducting transition temperature T. and the sizes of the resistiveanomalies due to both the q.- and the q.-CDW formations are examined on singlecrystals of Ta-doped NbSe.. With addition of Ta, T. increases steeply from below70mK to 1.7K but turns to decrease at 5at/Ta. The sizes of the resistiveanomalies due to both CDW formations initially decrease but that due to the q3-CDW begins to increase at 5 at '3 where T. turns to decrease. These results arediscussed in terms of the competition between superconductivity and the CDWformations. The upper critical field is also measured in the superconducting stateindttced by Ta doping. The critical field shows one-dimensional anisotropy, whichoriginates from the anisotropy of the electronic band structure.
