A method is presented to pick out candidates for completely integrable non-linear partial differential equations among those in the same form but with theircoefficients being different in value. This method is based on the singularityanalysis of Weiss et at. As an example, the fifth order KdV type equations areinvestigated. Investigations of various forms of nonlinear partial differentialequations by this method will b<S of some help to the systematic study of thecomplete integrability.
